• The Market Analyst provides key analytical support to help drive revenue, profit and market share gains globally and regionally. This position conducts analysis of market, customer, and/or competitor data, translating these data into effective business intelligence. This role combines business thinking, analytical skills, statistical methods, and technical expertise to perform information analysis and decision support

• Carries out a broad range of information gathering, analysis, and reporting activities.
• Conducts data mining of company sales in order to investigate and uncover opportunities for global and country-specific marketing and cross-selling opportunities.
• Performs statistical modeling and analysis (e.g., regression, correspondence analysis, factor analysis, classification trees, etc.).
• Analyzes existing business performance metrics and assists in developing new reports/metrics to support Product and Marketing Managers on a global scale.
• Analyzes and reports on opportunities and progress of specific country/region selling activities.
• Performs quality assurance and assessment of business intelligence queries and reports.
• Receives assignments of custom projects, consisting of non-routine requests. In such situations, shapes and refines the precise problem definition, determines the end results.

• Four-year degree in business/marketing, finance, statistics, and/or life sciences. Masters degree a plus, but not necessary.
• A minimum of 5-7 years experience in business intelligence, marketing, marketing research, and/or a related analytical role, preferably in the health care industry (but not required).

• Working knowledge of SPSS (or other statistical package, e.g., SAS).
• Competence with Microsoft Office suite. Hands-on experience with MS Access a plus.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Possess a strong customer focus with the ability to manage multiple projects under deadline constraints.
• Visual Basic programming knowledge/expertise a plus (but not required).
• Ability to work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires anticipating multiple outcomes and/or influencing factors.
• Ability to focus on integrity of information in reports that assist in business decisions.
